Announcement & Prayer Request February 6, 2026There is no easy way to start this description. So I will get right into it. On January 16, 2026, it came to light that I had been engaging in inappropriate conversations with a woman and with chatbots through apps and texting, seeking and soliciting inappropriate images. Our daughters first discovered this, and in that moment, I did not tell them the truth. It was only after several hours of conversation between Lacey and me that the full extent of what had been happening came to light. This is in addition to something we shared with our board in the fall of 2025 — that I had returned to pornography for about 9 months after experiencing sixteen years of freedom. There is no excuse for the choices I made. They were sinful, manipulative, deceptive, and deeply hurtful to my wife and girls. Bringing this into the light is incredibly painful and embarrassing to my ...VIEW EPISODE

STB161 | BSE | Hebrews 8.13-10.18 E2 January 26, 2026STB161 | BSE | Hebrews 8.13-10.18 E2BIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott continue their study through Hebrews by confronting how easily believers drift back into external rules, self-effort, and spiritual performance. This episode presses into the heart of the gospel: Jesus didn’t partially replace the old covenant — he fulfilled and rendered it obsolete. The conversation exposes how law-based thinking (a life built on the 10 Commandments) still shapes worship, discipleship, and judgment today, and re-centers salvation as trusting Jesus’ finished work while living empowered by the Holy Spirit, not managed by religious systems. *Please note, this discussion takes place in two episodes. This is episode two.* VIEW EPISODE

STB160 | BSE | Hebrews 8.13-10.18 E1 January 19, 2026STB160 | BSE | Hebrews 8.13-10.18 E1BIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott begin a series exploring Hebrews 9-13 by setting the theological foundation for why Jesus is greater than everything that came before him (think Old Testament Law and the 10 Commandments). Before diving into doctrine, they dive into the purpose, authorship, and structure of Hebrews. This episode reframes the Old Testament as a shadow pointing to Jesus, clarifying why the law could diagnose sin but never heal it — and why intimacy with the Father is now fully accessible through Jesus. *Please note, this discussion takes place in two episodes. STB159 | BSE | Conflict: The Process of Resolution January 12, 2026STB159 | BSE | Conflict: The Process of ResolutionBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott walk through the process of resolution by defining forgiveness, repentance, reconciliation, and restoration through the lens of Jesus and the gospel. They challenge behavior-based gospel narratives and show how the good news begins with who people are as God designed them, not what they’ve done. This episode reframes salvation, propitiation, reconciliation, and restoration as participation in God’s new creation, inviting Christians to live as ambassadors who reflect grace in real relationships. STB158 | BSE | Conflict: Anger E2 January 5, 2026STB158 | BSE | Conflict: Anger E2Nathan and Pastor Scott conclude their two-part teaching on anger by clarifying how anger reveals what’s happening in the heart. In this second episode, they move from unhealthy expressions of anger (smoldering and explosive) into a biblical understanding of righteous anger, showing how anger can either protect one’s self or serve restoration. The conversation challenges listeners to discern motive, submit reactions to the Holy Spirit, and practice repentance that leads toward maturity, forgiveness, and reconciliation. This episode brings both teachings together, offering a clear pathway for handling anger in a way that reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father. *Please note, this discussion takes place in two episodes. STB157 | BSE | Conflict: Anger E1 December 29, 2025STB157 | BSE | Conflict: Anger E1BIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott begin a two-part conversation on conflict by reframing anger through the lens of Scripture. Rather than suppressing anger or labeling it as a sin, this episode examines indignation as a morally neutral response that reveals our motives and how we respond to offense. Together, they unpack how unresolved anger creates space for the enemy, how misapplied Bible verses fuel control instead of maturity, and why learning to process anger rightly is essential for healthy relationships, leadership, and spiritual growth. *Please note, this discussion takes place in two episodes. STB156 | BSE | Identity: Our Participation December 22, 2025STB156 | BSE | Identity: Our ParticipationBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott wrap up the Identity series by focusing on participation, clarifying how redemption invites us into active cooperation with what the Holy Spirit is rebuilding. After an opening conversation on humor, reverence, and knowing your audience, the study begins by confronting the idea that participation equals performance. Instead, obedience is framed as a response to grace, not an attempt to earn it. Drawing from Isaiah 61, this episode shows how true participation requires submission, stretches comfort, and forms maturity as we join God in His ongoing work of restoration. VIEW EPISODE

STB155 | BSE | Identity: Our Redemption December 15, 2025STB155 | BSE | Identity: Our RedemptionBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott focus on redemption, not as behavior management, but as restoration to God’s original design. They explore how redemption is not merely forgiveness of sin, but a reclaiming of purpose, desire, and identity — freeing us to live as God originally intended for each one of us from our individual beginnings. This episode challenges reductionistic views of redemption and invites listeners into Spirit-empowered transformation that reshapes how we think, live, and relate. VIEW EPISODE

STB154 | BSE | Identity: Our Corruption December 8, 2025STB154 | BSE | Identity: Our CorruptionBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott step into the next part of the Identity series by examining corruption — not as a loss of identity, but as the breaking of our perception of it. Through Scripture, design analogies, and honest stories, they reveal how false beliefs, unhealthy habits, and misplaced desires slowly shape us away from God’s intention. This episode invites listeners to explore how the Spirit restores clarity, exposes unhealthy patterns, and rebuilds us through truth, community, and surrender. VIEW EPISODE

STB153 | BSE | Identity: Our Perception December 1, 2025STB153 | BSE | Identity: Our PerceptionBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott launch a new identity series by challenging the lie that people are “broken” at their core. Using Scripture and real-life stories, they explain how our identity as God’s image-bearers is intrinsic and irreplaceable, even when our lives feel messy. This episode reframes “blessing” as an opportunity to prosper, unpacks our mission to bring order to chaos, and invites listeners to see themselves the way the Father already does. VIEW EPISODE

STB152 | BSE | Salvation: Our Submission November 24, 2025STB152 | BSE | Salvation: Our SubmissionBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott explore salvation through the lens of submission, revealing that true freedom comes not from self-rule but from willingly aligning ourselves under God’s design. They unpack how salvation leads us into a life of surrendered trust — choosing the Spirit’s authority over the impulses of our habitual inclinations. Submission is not passivity; it’s the doorway into Spirit-empowered living, where obedience produces maturity, purpose, and the fruit of God’s life within us. VIEW EPISODE

STB151 | BSE | Salvation: Our Freedom November 17, 2025STB151 | BSE | Salvation: Our FreedomBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott continue their series on salvation, revealing that Jesus’ redemption isn’t just about being set free from sin but being set free to live empowered by the Holy Spirit. They uncover how salvation restores humanity to its original design — living in partnership with God’s purpose and authority. They show that redemption is not a single moment of escape but an ongoing journey of transformation, where believers learn to walk in true freedom, maturity, and Spirit-led life. VIEW EPISODE

STB150 | BSE | Salvation: Our “Fall” November 10, 2025STB150 | BSE | Salvation: Our "Fall"BIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott explore what salvation truly means, challenging traditional views of “the fall” and redefining it as humanity’s ongoing rebellion against God’s design. They unpack Luke 15 to show that every lost thing — a sheep, a coin, or a son — first belonged to its owner, revealing that redemption isn’t about earning God’s favor but returning to His heart. Together, they confront distorted teachings about salvation and highlight how reconciliation, repentance, and relationship with the Father are central to the gospel’s story. VIEW EPISODE

STB149 | BSE | Salvation: Our Origin November 3, 2025STB149 | BSE | Salvation: Our OriginBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Phil kick off a new four-part series on Salvation, exploring what it means to be rescued, restored, and made new through Jesus. They unpack how salvation is more than escaping sin or judgment — it’s about relational redemption, daily transformation, and becoming who the Father always designed us to be. This conversation redefines salvation as the starting point of a life lived in partnership with God, not merely a ticket to heaven. VIEW EPISODE

STB147 | BSE | Faith: The Holy Spirit October 20, 2025STB147 | BSE | Faith: The Holy SpiritBIBLE SCHOOL EDITION – Nathan and Pastor Scott unpack what it really means to have faith in the Holy Spirit — not just the Holy Scriptures. The conversation explores how a Bible-only approach can lead to imbalance and self-directed legalism, while true freedom and relational depth come through walking with the Spirit daily. VIEW EPISODE

This conversation challenges us to deepen our understanding of Jesus and our trust in his work on our behalf. VIEW EPISODE

STB144 | Leading Others through the Freedom Booklet – TFB:P11 September 29, 2025STB144 | Leading Others through the Freedom Booklet - TFB:P11In this episode, Nathan and Lacey equip listeners to walk others through the Freedom Booklet. They cover two practical formats — intentional one-on-one meetings and small groups (typically 2–4 participants) with a leader and co-leader — and share concrete best practices: set dates and timelines, provide accountability and simple hospitality (quiet space, coffee, childcare), keep leaders as facilitators (not counselors), enforce confidentiality and speaking rules, use the instructional videos, check in between sessions, and always allow the Holy Spirit to lead. It’s a practical, encouragement-filled guide for helping people move from stuck to free. VIEW EPISODE

STB143 | Planting Truth – TFB:P10 September 22, 2025STB143 | Planting Truth - TFB:P10In this episode, Nathan and Lacey guide listeners through the last step of The Freedom Booklet, Step Nine: Receive and Replace — a transformative process of letting go of lies and replacing them with the Holy Spirit’s truth. Rather than simply releasing pain or sin, this step invites you to actively receive what Jesus is speaking over you, aligning your heart with His Word and stepping into lasting freedom. They explain how this isn’t just a cognitive shift but an invitation to action — hearing from God, walking in obedience, and marking the moment as a testimony of His work. This process closes the loop on the past and launches you forward into a future of hope and healing. VIEW EPISODE

STB142 | Releasing Control of the Harvest – TFB:P9 September 15, 2025STB142 | Releasing Control of the Harvest - TFB:P9In this episode, Nathan and Lacey discuss Step Eight — release and blessing — the part of resolving sin, loss, and offense that often gets overlooked but is essential to true freedom. Drawing from Matthew 5 and Romans 12, they show how the process of freedom is incomplete without releasing our expectations, debts, and hurts to God, whether in offense, loss, or personal sin. Release means surrendering control, shame, or unmet expectations and entrusting them fully to God’s justice and healing. But it doesn’t stop there — release flows into blessing, choosing to sacrificially pray for good even for those who have wounded us. As they share stories of transformation, they reveal how this process breaks bitterness, redirects our hearts, and opens the door to healing, freedom, and restored perspective in Jesus. VIEW EPISODE

STB141 | Pulling Weeds of Bitterness – TFB:P8 September 8, 2025STB141 | Pulling Weeds of Bitterness - TFB:P8In this episode, Nathan and Lacey step into the hard but freeing process of forgiveness. Scripture makes it clear that forgiving others is not optional, yet it often feels impossible. Forgiveness is more than ignoring the hurt or pretending it didn’t happen — it’s canceling the debt someone owes us and releasing them, even when what they did was real and painful. Through practical steps and honest reflection, you’ll learn how forgiveness reorients your heart, releases expectations, and opens the door for God’s healing power to work in your life. Discover how choosing forgiveness — even when it feels like obedience without emotion — creates space for true freedom. VIEW EPISODE

STB140 | Turning the Heart Soil – TFB:P7 September 1, 2025STB140 | Turning the Heart Soil - TFB:P7In this episode, Nathan and Lacey explore Jesus’ parable of the unforgiving servant and how it reveals our tendency to demand payment from others when we fail to rest in God’s forgiveness. They discuss the real meaning of repentance — more than admitting fault, it’s a Spirit-led reorientation of our hearts toward God. Therefore, true repentance acknowledges not only our outward actions but also the unhealthy thoughts and attitudes we’ve carried. Through confession and surrender, we invite God’s cleansing, release the grip of unforgiveness, and step into healing. This conversation shows that repentance is not punishment but freedom — the path where brokenness gives way to a restored relationship with God and others. VIEW EPISODE

STB139 | Cultivating Thankfulness – TFB:P6 August 25, 2025STB139 | Cultivating Thankfulness - TFB:P6In this episode, Nathan and Lacey walk through Step Five of The Freedom Booklet, highlighting how gratitude becomes a catalyst to begin the process of the Holy Spirit healing our wounds. They explain that when we give thanks — even for painful experiences — we are not excusing the hurt but acknowledging God’s presence and redemptive work in the middle of it. Gratitude shifts our focus from what was lost to how God is redeeming, transforming bitterness into peace and despair into hope. This conversation shows how thanksgiving is more than a discipline; it’s a doorway to freedom, helping us release pain, embrace healing, and see our lives through the lens of God working all things for our good (that is, Him making what was evil and broken into what will be beneficial for us). STB138 | Resolving Unmet Needs & Desires – TFB:P5 August 18, 2025STB138 | Resolving Unmet Needs & Desires - TFB:P5In this episode, Nathan and Lacey walk through Step Four of The Freedom Booklet, exploring how unmet needs and unfulfilled desires often drive us to believe lies about God, ourselves, and others. These lies, formed through pain or disappointment, create patterns that keep us striving for fulfillment in unhealthy ways. They share how letting the Holy Spirit expose these false beliefs and reveal God’s truth leads to the genuine satisfaction of our deepest needs — needs for love, belonging, security, and purpose. This isn’t about suppressing desire, but about allowing God to meet it in ways that bring lasting peace and transformation. VIEW EPISODE

STB137 | Unhealthy Fruit from Unresolved Pain – TFB:P4 August 11, 2025STB137 | Unhealthy Fruit from Unresolved Pain - TFB:P4In this episode, Nathan and Lacey work through Step Three of The Freedom Booklet, focusing on coping behaviors, inner vows, and hidden beliefs that form in response to unresolved pain, sin, or trauma. They explain how these patterns — often made to protect oneself — eventually lead us to react instead of respond, producing fruit that doesn’t reflect the life of Jesus. With practical examples and real vulnerability, they show how honest confession, thoughtful self-reflection, and Holy Spirit-led insight are key to uprooting what’s been buried. This step isn’t about shame — it’s about clarity, healing, and lasting transformation. VIEW EPISODE

STB136 | Unearthing the Roots of Pain – TFB:P3 August 4, 2025STB136 | Unearthing the Roots of Pain - TFB:P3In this episode, Nathan and Lacey will guide you through Step Two of The Freedom Booklet, focusing on thoughts, beliefs, and feelings surrounding past offenses, losses, or sins. They explore why revisiting old wounds doesn’t mean we’ve failed to resolve them — it just means we’re allowing the Holy Spirit to expose unresolved layers of pain, perspective, and healing. With practical examples, they show how each layer of pain may call for fresh surrender. Whether you’re overly expressive or emotionally shut down, this step is about letting God search your heart and bring clarity to how past moments still affect you — and those around you — today. Using The Freedom Booklet, they talk about how trauma, self-protection, sin, and even religious performance can masquerade as strength while actually stunting spiritual growth. They challenge listeners to get honest about what’s growing in their lives and invite the Holy Spirit to help identify what needs to be uprooted, what needs to be healed, and how to move toward producing healthy fruit. STB134 | Pulling Weeds and Planting Truth – TFB:P1 July 21, 2025STB134 | Pulling Weeds and Planting Truth - TFB:P1In this episode, Nathan and Lacey introduce The Freedom Booklet, a practical tool designed to help you uproot the offenses, losses, and sins that keep producing bad fruit in your life. Using the analogy of invasive garden vines, they explain how sin, trauma, and false beliefs — if left alone — can overtake our hearts and relationships. They unpack how the Holy Spirit, Scripture, and community help address issues at the root level. Whether you’re confronting sin, walking through grief, or releasing someone through forgiveness, this tool is not a formula — but an invitation to let God have His opinion of your life’s experience and transform your inner life from the ground up.
