I wanted to personally say thank you for praying for our family during this incredibly difficult season.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve been walking through one of the most painful and unexpected chapters of our lives. In the middle of all of it, the encouragement, prayers, and kindness from people like you have meant more than I can really express. When something this personal comes into the light, it can feel very lonely.
Right now, our family is taking the time we need to process, grieve, and begin the long work of recovery, healing, and rebuilding trust. It’s not a quick or simple road, but I’m deeply grateful for the care that has been extended toward me, the counseling our girls have received, and the counseling and accountability Nathan has chosen. We’ve surrounded ourselves with people who love us and who are committed to helping our family move toward healing and restoration.
As part of this journey, I recently sat down with our friend Jenni, who is a recovery and life coach. She and her husband have been walking closely with us through this process of grief, honesty, and recovery. In an upcoming podcast conversation, Jenni and I talk openly about addiction, the recovery journey, and the long and sometimes painful process of restoring trust in a relationship.
My hope in sharing that conversation is not to dwell on the pain, but to bring some honesty and hope into something that many families quietly walk through. Addiction and betrayal affect far more marriages and families than people realize, and we want to create space for healing conversations that point people toward recovery and restoration. Thank you again for continuing to pray for us. Please keep praying for wisdom, healing, and protection for our girls as they process all of this. Pray for strength and clarity as Nathan pursues the help he needs. And please pray that God would continue to guide this ministry through wise counsel as we take this necessary time to heal.
Your prayers and support truly mean the world to us.
With love and hope,
Lacey Steel
